You heard right – you can now control your GoPro from your MINI cockpit. Just mount it onto your MINI inside or out, and record remotely through the MINI Centre Instrument. This includes Hero2+ BacPac, Hero 3 and Hero 3+ cameras. Video, photo, photo burst and time lapse are all supported. You can even access the presets list, to optimise filming for any driving scenarios you might encounter. Get professional if you want or just have a laugh and see what happens.

As you rock whatever road you’re on, get the video preview from your GoPro right on your MINI Connected Screen. If you’ve got GoPro Hero 3+ and an iPhone 4s or newer, it’s in near real time. Pretty neat, huh? It’s also useful for checking the angle is right.

Can’t wait to check the footage? Pull over and view the photos and videos you just took by disconnecting your phone, still from the comfort of your MINI. Not happy with the results or need a bit more space? Just delete them from your micro SD card and off you go again. You can even have a nose at the GoPro Photo and Video of the Day – there’s always something cool to see.
